JAMES J. HAKIM, MD, FACP


Dr. Hakim attended college at Rutgers University in Piscataway. He then
continued his training at UMDNJ- Rutgers Medical School at Camden. He went on to
complete his residency training in Internal Medicine at Overlook Hospital in
Summit, NJ.
Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Hakim joined HIP of New Jersey in Union. He
then left to join Dr. Paul Zukoff in the practice of Internal Medicine in New
Providence. Dr. Hakim is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a Member of
the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Hakim lives with his wife and two daughters in Berkeley Heights. He and
his family are members of the Little Flower Church. His wife, Lori, is a
Registered Nurse and works part-time as a nurse for SAGE. When not at
work, Dr. Hakim enjoys spending time with his family, travel and reading science
fiction.
